Quake and aftershock, but not ‘end of the world’

Friday, October 21, 2011

imageThey’re now saying the earthquake and aftershock along the Hayward Fault in Berkeley yesterday measured 4.0 and 3.8 respectively. The 8:16 p.m. aftershock was said to have especially rattled diners in Oakland’s Montclair Village district, the Chronicle says. And no wonder: the fault runs along the east curb of Moraga Avenue through the village.

Noted: We can only imagine how the shakers affected followers of Oakland doomsday preacher Harold Camping, whose revised prophecy calls for the world to end today.
