Six accused of Richmond High gang rape plead not guilty

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

It’s been two years since the notorious gang-rape of a 16-year-old Richmond High School student outside a homecoming dance and today the six men charged with raping her pleaded not guilty in a Martinez courtroom. The Contra Costa Times says there’s a tentative trial date of Sept. 4, 2012 and that the judge says she’ll decide next year whether the case will be tried outside Contra Costa County.

Noted: The young woman received a $4 million settlement from the West Contra Costa Unified School District and no longer lives in Richmond.
