Winner, loser in media coverage of Gadhafi’s death

Friday, October 21, 2011

imageA couple of things worth noting about the coverage of Moammar Gadhafi’s death: the first video of his capture went out over Al Jazeera, a consistent leader in news throughout the so-called Arab Spring. Too bad more cable stations here don’t make it available.

Also: Ben Wedeman (pictured), who has done stellar work in Libya and elsewhere as CNN’s senior international correspondent, had the misfortune of being in New York when Gadhafi was killed.
