Transbay Center: $400 million empty basement?

The Chronicle’s Matier & Ross give voice this morning to what’s been left largely unsaid since the House killed bullet train funding last week: the $400 million train station to be built beneath the new Transbay Center looks more and more like it will become the world’s most expensive empty basement.
