If you missed it, Gerry Shih at The Bay Citizen had a piece over the weekend looking at the aftermath of the mayoral election, and the role of Willie Brown and Rose Pak in it. Noting the take-no-prisoners stance that Mayor Ed Lee’s chief political patrons have assumed since the election, San Francisco State political science professor Jason McDaniel opines that if Lee is to be a consensus-builder, “he’s going to have to corral Willie Brown and Rose Pak a bit.” An excerpt:
By sounding boastful or vindictive, Brown and Pak “sound like they’re the ones who won, when they spent the entire campaign fending off charges that Ed Lee was a puppet for them” . . .
