There will be no trial in the murder of Russian Hill socialite Kathleen “Kate” Horan. Parolee and drifter Gary Scott Holland pleaded guilty to the brutal Oct., 2010 murder in which he posed as a repairman and clubbed Horan to death inside her Chestnut Street apartment. He’s expected to get 50 years to life in prison when sentenced Dec. 12, the Chronicle says.
