UC Regents may have canceled their meeting to consider tuition increases today and tomorrow in San Francisco out of concern for violence. Cal State’s trustees today took a different tact. CSU trustees upped tuition 9 percent, even as police pushed back angry demonstrators trying to get inside the closed-door proceedings at Cal State Long Beach. The vote was 9 to 6, the LA Times says.
