Body believed to be USF student swept over Vernal Fall

Tuesday, December 6, 2011

imageThe body of a woman believed to be one of three young people swept over Yosemite’s Vernal Fall last summer has been found. Rangers say the body found Saturday is believed to be that of 21-year-old USF nursing student Ramina Badal. It was found 30 feet from the spot where Ninos Yacoub’s body was found beneath house-sized boulders last week, the LA Times says.

Add: Yacoub and Badal plunged over the fall in each other’s arms after they climbed over a guardrail and slipped and fell in the swollen river before horrified onlookers.
