Editor quits at LA Times amid talk of more cuts

In four years as editor of the LA Times, Russ Stanton presided over a news staff that shrank from 900 to about 550. Now he’s bowing out Dec. 23 in favor of new editor Davan Maharaj, amid rumors of more layoffs, section fold-ups and other awful stuff after the first of the year. The Wrap details some of it.
