On Jerry Brown’s months-long aloofness to news media

Monday, December 12, 2011

imageThe governor has held just three press conferences since signing the budget in June and has pretty much avoided weighing in on important issues, such as the Occupy movement. He’s mostly snubbed the press for several months now. But that doesn’t surprise longtime Brown watcher and retired Sac Bee editorial page editor Peter Schrag, who can remember Brown’s penchant for hanging out with insiders over drinks during previous terms.
