A few hundred protesters have succeeded, at least temporarily, in shutting down a line of trucks entering the Port of Oakland. It’s part of a coordinated Occupy movement effort up and down the West Coast. As of shortly before 9 a.m., the situation remained peaceful, with protesters and police more or less staring each other down. The Chronicle has posted an early story.
