Apple adoration looks past the sweat shops*

imageWith quarterly earnings out the kazoo and its acknowledgement as America’s most valuable company by market share, it figured to be a pretty good week for Apple. Except for a couple of New York Times pieces about how the company’s products are mostly made in Chinese sweat shops.

Noted: Not that the NYT or anyone else is just discovering this, or, for that matter, that many people yet care. An NYT reporter told NPR yesterday that more than half of Americans surveyed couldn’t think of anything negative about the company and only 2 percent knew the iPod was made in China.
