Mirkarimi pleads not guilty; must stay away from wife, son

Thursday, January 19, 2012

imageJudge Susan Breall accepted Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi’s not guilty plea, offered through his attorney, at his arraignment today, and then ordered the sheriff to stay away from his wife and 2-year-old son until his trial on domestic violence charges is over. As the Chronicle’s Jaxon Van Derbeken notes, fallout from the alleged New Year’s Eve incident involving Mirkarimi’s wife, Eliana Lopez, is attracting international attention.
