Pac-12 gears up for bigger TV presence

Wednesday, January 11, 2012

imageAs the Pac-12 gets ready to run its own cable networks, a la the Big 10 and Texas’ Longhorn Network, they’ve added well-known media exec Bill Cella as chief revenue officer for the Pac-12 Enterprises unit. He’ll rotate between offices in New York and Walnut Creek, Media Decoder says.

Add: On the agenda are six regional and one national Pac-12 network. The regionals will each pair conference schools in close proximity. For the Bay Area, that means a channel with lots of Cal and Stanford content.
