The Chronicle’s Phil Bronstein is putting his money where his mouth is in support of the non-profit journalism model. The longtime former editor of the Chronicle and old Examiner is leaving his post as editor-at-large for Hearst Newspapers for an unspecified—and unpaid—role with the Center for Investigative Reporting in Berkeley, home to California Watch. He announced his departure Friday.
