SF film society’s Bingham Ray suffers a stroke at Sundance

imageNewly-named San Francisco Film Society executive director Bingham Ray is recovering in a Provo, Utah hospital after suffering two strokes while in Utah to attend the Sundance Film Festival. Ray’s daughter tells The Wrap that her father was hospitalized after having a mild stroke early last week and that he suffered a more serious stroke Friday while in the hospital.

Noted: The respected Indie film veteran was named to head the film society last October, replacing the late Graham Leggat, who died from cancer in August at age 51.
