probe of SFPD stemming from last year’s revelations of alleged officer misconduct brought by Public Defender Jeff Adachi, and distinguishes it from 20 or so investigations of police around the country this way:
The criminal investigation in San Francisco is different from those civil probes because officers could go to prison.
