Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi charged with three crimes

Not pretty. The new sheriff got the word today: He faces three misdemeanor charges linked to that alleged New Year’s Eve domestic violence against his wife, Eliana Lopez. They’re domestic violence battery, child endangerment and dissuading a witness. He was to turn himself in today and could face arraignment as early as Tuesday, the Chronicle says.
