Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang shoves off

Tuesday, January 17, 2012

imageYahoo’s detractors don’t have Jerry Yang to kick around anymore. In a surprise announcement after the markets closed today, the Mountain View-based company’s co-founder and former CEO resigned from the board and cut all official ties to company, effective immediately, PaidContent says. He’s still its biggest shareholder.

Noted: It marks the end of an era for Yang, who founded Yahoo along with David Filo in 1994 while both were students at Stanford.
