Looks like A’s fans have something to be excited about after all this off-season. The team has come to terms with defecting Cuban outfielder Yoenis Cespedes for a four-year, $36-million deal that the Chronicle’s Susan Slusser, posting at The Drumbeat, calls one of the bigger surprises of the winter. Lots of baseball people thought the slugging centerfielder would wind up at a franchise with deeper pockets, and at a heftier price.
