A’s to San Jose anytime soon? ‘Not necessarily’

Saturday, February 25, 2012

imageThe Chronicle’s Henry Shulman caught up with Giants president Larry Baer in Arizona yesterday long enough to get a cryptic—maybe telling, maybe not—response about whether the club may be willing to cede territorial rights to San Jose to help the A’s exit Oakland. Add: Make of it what you will, but here’s what Shulman blogs at The Splash:

Baer also disputed the notion that the issue will be settled soon, and even disputed the assumption that it will be resolved by the Giants agreeing to a financial settlement in return for relinquishing its territorial rights to San Jose.
