Jerry taps John Burton’s daughter for what?

imageDepartment of political patronage: Deputy city attorney Kimiko Burton, daughter of state Democratic Party boss John Burton, was just nominated by Gov. Jerry Brown to a seven-year term on the State Personnel Board. It’s a part-time gig that pays $40,000-a-year and will supplement her $205,000-a-year day job.

Kicker: The Personnel Board exists, among other things, to ensure that the civil service system is free from political patronage.
