After a third try, a family law judge has ruled that Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi may have supervised visits with his 2-year-old son, Theo. Visits with his son have been off limits since domestic violence charges were filed against the sheriff in December. Today’s ruling doesn’t affect a stay-away order that prevents Mirkarimi from having contact with his wife, Eliana Lopez.
Add: The unusual twist at today’s hearing, says the Bay Citizen: the prosecutor in Mirkarimi’s criminal case was on scene, and tried to speak with Judge Ronald Albers after the proceedings, but he didn’t acknowledge her.
