  • PG&E acknowledged that the utility’s program to improve its gas pipeline safety will eventually cost a whopping $5 billion. Chronicle 
  • The Board of Supervisors postponed until March 27 a vote on whether to approve San Francisco’s America’s Cup agreement, after officials announced Monday plans for the regatta had been scaled back. Bay City News Service

  • Gene, the 41-year-old black rhino at the San Francisco Zoo, died Monday of kidney failure, the zoo announced. City Insider
