Museum to evaluate damaged 1927 model of City Hall

Monday, February 13, 2012

imageThat scale model of Oakland City Hall that got trashed by hooligans during an Occupy Oakland event a couple of weeks ago (that’s it smashed in the floor behind Mayor Jean Quan) is being evaluated at the Oakland Museum of California to see if, and how, it can be repaired. Annalee Allen writes in the Oakland Tribune that the model was created for the 1927 Alameda County Fair. It was found in storage and put on display at City Hall several years ago.
