Add: Among other things, the Lockyers enlisted the help of longtime friend and Alameda County district attorney Nancy O’Malley to look into claims that the man was stalking Nadia Lockyer. (She’s since recused herself, turning the case over to the state AG’s office.) O’Malley’s investigators didn’t find evidence of stalking, concluding that the relationship was consensual based partly on text messages and X-rated photos found on one of Nadia Lockyer’s computers, the Chronicle says.
More: As for Nadia Lockyer’s alleged lover, 35-year-old San Jose construction worker Stephen Chikhani (the Chronicle isn’t naming him, although he gave an interview to the Oakland Tribune before he stopped talking)—he’s telling a different story about that night. He’s saying there was nothing “ex” about the relationship, that Lockyer invited him to the hotel, and that he acted in self-defense after she attacked him, believing that he was seeing another woman, the columnists’ sources say.
