Solomon Kahn, disc jockey was 34

imageThe disc jockey who performed under the name DJ Solomon and who was a fixture of the San Francisco club scene, died Tuesday in a car accident in Bangkok. Kahn was in Thailand with his fiancee, Nicole Cronin. He was killed after their taxi stopped in traffic and they were rear-ended, the Chronicle says. Cronin is reportedly in serious but stable condition.

Add: Kahn is the son of Shabda Kahn, the spiritual director of the Sufi Ruhaniat International, and his wife, author Tamam Kahn. He was in-house disc jockey for the Golden State Warriors for a decade until last year, and was one of three disc jockeys for the San Francisco Giants. He’d performed at the San Francisco Ballet’s opening night gala in January. Obit: Chronicle
