Feds move on Berkeley’s largest pot dispensary

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Looks like the feds’ widening anti-pot initiative imagehas turned to Berkeley. The owner of the building that houses the city’s largest medical marijuana dispensary has put it up for sale, fueling speculation that Berkeley Patients Group may have to try and go elsewhere.

Add: BPG, which employs 75 people in a former car dealership at 2747 San Pablo Avenue, isn’t talking. But Berkeleyside’s Francis Dinkelspiel cites “well-informed sources” as saying that U. S. Attorney Melissa Haag has notified the building’s owner that the dispensary needs to go.
