Hidden camera: ‘Mommy P.I.’ detective, Contra Costa cop count drug cash

Friday, March 23, 2012

That’s would-be “Mommy P.I.” reality show private detective Christopher Butler in the black T-shirt. His friend, former Contra Costa anti-drug task force commander Norman Wielsch shows up in a red T-shirt. They’re charged with felonies in an ongoing law enforcement corruption case in Contra Costa County. The Chronicle’s Justin Berton obtained this video of the sting operation the night before they were arrested in February, 2011.

Add: It was taken with a keychain camera and shows the men counting $9,800 cash in a Concord warehouse after allegedly selling meth to a government informant. Wielsch is accused of stealing the meth from a police evidence locker.
