Here’s how the City Council voted in closed
session last night to spend $832,000 of the cash-strapped city’s tax money: It will go to lawyers for two men who sued successfully after their pants were pulled down by cops in 2005 during a street search. The Lotto winners attorneys: civil rights lawyers John Burris and Michael Haddad. As for the plaintiffs, they already collected $245,000 in damages last year. More: Chronicle
