Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Building, aka the Telephone Building, at 140 New Montgomery. It’s been vacant, with developer Wilson Meany Sullivan’s plans for luxury condos there shelved by the Great Recession.
Add: But things are looking up at the grand 1925 skyscraper. As the Wall Street Journal’s local pages report today, WMS is going forward with a seismic retrofit in advance of reopening the Art Deco landmark as a potential future home to tech startups, venture capital firms and others.
