Obese Livermore man asks for help on YouTube; Dr. Phil answers

Saturday, March 3, 2012

Robert Gibbs, whose tearful YouTube appeal for help with morbid obesity has attracted more than 200,000 views, may get the help he asked for. A representative from the “Dr. Phil” show reached out to him yesterday. Gibbs turned 23 yesterday and says he weighs between 600 and 700 pounds. He’s been housebound for four years. Karl Fischer writes about him in today’s Contra Costa Times.
