Political candidate dumped by Patch after plagiarism

Friday, March 23, 2012

imageThis just in from someone who wants to be in Congress: Connecticut Tea Party congressional candidate Daria Novak acknowledges plagiarizing material as a contributor to several Patch sites in her state “because when I read material from multiple sources, and have multiple people emailing me without attributions, I assume the material was in the public domain,” The Day of Hartford, Connecticut, reports. Photo is from her campaign website.

Add: Patch has told her she’s out as a non-paid blogger. From The Day:
Entire paragraphs of her work appeared to have been lifted almost word for word without attribution from a conservative website and The Washington Times, according to the website editors.
