Looks like the scandal over a UC Berkeley administrator’s helping to more than double the salary of her secret lover in two years may not be over. At least 13 faculty members have signed a letter to Provost George Breslauer calling for Diane Leite to be fired, says the Contra Costa Times’ Matt Krupnick.
Add: Krupnick broke the story that Leite arranged for purchasing agent Jonathan Caniezo to get five raises in two years during the time they were involved in a relationship, in violation of the university’s sexual harassment policy. Leite was stripped of her title and her $188,000 salary was reduced to $175,000, something critics say was a slap on the wrist.
