Jonathan Caniezo, 30, earned less than $70,000 as a UC Berkeley purchasing agent in 2007. By 2010 he was making $110,000 after university administrator Diane Leite, 47, pushed through five raises for him in two years. Turns out Leite and Caniezo were in a sexual relationship, says a UC report obtained by Matt Krupnick for the Mercury News and its affiliated newspapers.
Add: Investigators found Leite in violation of the university’s sexual harassment policy. Her punishment? She lost her assistant vice chancellor title and took a pay cut—from $188,531 to $175,000 a year.
