Warriors’ mid-term report card doesn’t cut it

imageAfter another uninspired loss—to Toronto, no less—you can hear the air starting to wheeze out of another deflating Warriors season. Even before the latest loss, Chronicle beat writer Rusty Simmons’ franchise report card in today’s Sporting Green looks spot on, starting with the D+ he awards active owner Joe Lacob and the front office:
The comedy of errors (waiving Jeremy Lin and amnestying Charlie Bell to put an unsuccessful offer sheet on DeAndre Jordan) is saved from a failing grade only by the trade for Brandon Rush and the drafting of interesting prospects. This grade could be altered greatly at the March 15 trade deadline.
