Berkeley High School will suspend 50 students and expel up to three others after a scam in which the school’s attendance database was breached. The breach, discovered just before spring break, made it possible for the offending students to cut classes at will or skip school altogether without repercussion—until the gig was up, the Berkeley Voice says.
