It’s apparently full speed ahead for state Treasurer Bill Lockyer’s plans to run for state Controller in 2014, when he’ll be 73—despite the meteoric downfall of wife Nadia Lockyer as an Alameda County supervisor. Nor has he addressed her assertions that he provided her with drugs during the early years of their marriage. For a Mercury News piece today, as has been his M.O., Lockyer sends spokesman Tom Dresslar out as the talking head.
