Feds round up several 'Thizz' record label rappers in drug bust

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

imageNot a good day for Thizz Entertainment, the checkered Bay Area rap label founded by the late Andre Hicks, aka Mac Dre, and whose name is a play on a designer drug. The feds have scooped up several of the label’s rappers among 25 people arrested nationwide in a crackdown aimed at the Ecstasy trade. Matthias Gafni at the Contra Costa Times has the rundown of the rappers either arrested or named in a federal complaint but not yet in custody.

Among them: Major Norton, aka Dubee, Michael Lott, aka Miami the Most, Gaylord Franklin, aka Geezy, and Bruce Thurmon, aka Little Bruce.
