SJSU gets ready to bolt the rapidly depleting WAC

San Jose State is jumping to the Mountain West Conference in all sports in 2013, says a report in the Salt Lake Tribune. But it’s more like a mass defection from the WAC, or Western Athletic Conference. If SJSU and Utah State, the latest two WAC teams reportedly about to take the leap do so, that’ll bring to eight the number of WAC schools who either already have or will soon depart for the Mountain West.
