Berkeley chief used cops to search for son’s lost phone

More problems for Police Chief Michael Meehan. His department is acknowledging that Meehan had 10 cops, four of them on overtime, on the case of his teenage son's missing and presumably stolen cell phone back in January, the Oakland Tribune says. (It was never found.) Meehan is already under intense scrutiny for ordering a sergeant to the home of a Trib reporter after midnight in March to complain about an online story.
