Mike Taugher, who’s covered water, energy and other environmental issues at the Contra Costa Times since 2000, is leaving to go to work for the California Department of Fish and Game. He’ll become assistant deputy director of communications, education and outreach. Josh Richman gave him a sendoff yesterday at the Political Blotter blog, which also has the news release from Gov. Jerry Brown’s office. The CoCo Times publishes as an edition of the Mercury News.
