Ly Tong, in drag, turns heads at his trial in San Jose

Thursday, May 24, 2012

However the assault trial of self-professed Vietnamese anti-communist crusader Ly Tong turns out, it won’t likely be forgotten soon. The former fighter pilot showed up in drag yesterday as closing arguments were set to get underway in a San Jose courtroom. (That’s him pictured on a previous occasion.) The Mercury News’ Tracey Kaplan says he was in the same high heels, print dress and red lipstick as the night he’s accused of pepper-spraying a Vietnamese singing star during a 2010 Santa Clara concert.
