  • Dominga Velasco of Oakland marked her 111th birthday Monday. Chronicle
  • San Francisco’s wholesale produce market is to get a $100 million upgrade over the next 10 years. Chronicle
  • After a second round of voting, Anschutz Entertainment Group is still favored to get the contract to manage the Oakland Coliseum and Oracle Arena. Oakland Tribune
  • Oikus University, the tiny nursing school that was the scene of last month’s rampage in which seven people were shot and killed, had its vocational nursing program placed on probation by the state. Chronicle
  • Prosecutors are accusing a Los Gatos physician of running a “pill mill” in which she allegedly sold bottles of prescription pain killers to drug addicts for resale. Mercury News
