San Francisco’s turn. The kind of vandalism that’s marred Occupy Oakland moved to the Mission District last night, with dozens of protesters smashing car windows and vandalizing stores and restaurants ahead of today’s planned Occupy general strike. SFPD managed to protect the Mission District police station, which came under attack, but shop owners and others complain that not enough was done to protect their businesses, the Chronicle says. The early tally of arrests: 1. And that was for a vehicle code violation, apparently.
[Update] Meanwhile in Oakland, police and protesters clashed near City Hall today.
