Yahoo debacle: Board mulls what to do about resume-fudging CEO

The uproar over Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson’s exaggerated resume has claimed its first victim. Patti Hart, who led the search to hire Thompson, says she won’t seek re-election to Yahoo’s board. But Yahoo’s board seems to be its own worst enemy. Its latest move: to appoint another board to examine whether Thompson fudged the resume. Here’s the response from dissident shareholder Daniel Loeb:
It seems farcical to us that the Board will most likely spend more time deliberating over whether Mr. Thompson should be fired than it did properly vetting whether he should have been hired.
