Armistead Maupin leaving San Francisco for Sante Fe

One of San Francisco’s favorite literary sons is packing his bags after 41 years and moving. Armistead Maupin tells Leah Garchik at the Chronicle that he and husband Christopher Turner are relocating to Santa Fe after a cross-country trip to Cap Cod and a return via Burning Man. He says he and Turner are “both craving a little more space and some nature.”

Add: Move or not, the “Tales of the City” author continues work on a new Tales book, “The Days of Anna Madrigal.”
