A’s shake up the TV broadcast booth

Thursday, June 7, 2012

Former A’s first baseman Scott Hatteberg of Moneyball fame has been called up from the club’s operations office to replace Ray Fosse as the team’s TV color analyst on CSN California for a 20-game stint starting June 15. (Try out?) Fosse has had the analyst job for 24 years. He tells Susan Slusser at the Chronicle that the decision had nothing to do with him. That’s Hatteberg (right) with actor Chris Pratt above. More about Hatteberg after the jump:

Add: Hatteberg got a nice fame upgrade thanks to the movie and Chris Pratt’s portrayal of him. Of course, his character’s prominent face time in the film is owing to Hatteberg’s game-winning homer that clinched the A’s 2002 20-game win streak.
