The 54-year-old managing editor, who has been at the newspaper since 2003, is leaving to assume the same position at the Houston Chronicle, it was announced today. His first day in the new job is June 18. You can read all about it at the Houston Chronicle, and read its press release at Jim Romenesko. As for the San Francisco Chronicle’s coverage (so far) about the departure of its managing editor . . . SFGate posts an AP story from Houston. No word yet about his replacement.
