In case you don’t make a habit of seeing the website of Current TV’s “The Gavin Newsom Show,” the Lite Gov on June 6 ran ABC 7 video of his greeting President Obama on the tarmac at SFO as a promo for his show, with a note to readers that began:
Despite stepping down from Air Force One and into one of our notoriously wet and windy San Francisco mornings, President Obama was in great spirits when I met him on the tarmac of the San Francisco International airport today.
Add: The entire note, and a link to the video, is after the jump:
Watch the video. Here’s the rest of the Newsom greeting:
Fresh on the heels of his historic support of gay marriage last month, he found quite the warm welcome in San Francisco.
During a luncheon speech, he brought up about one of my favorite topics—and greatest sources of pride—when he spoke to the Bay Area’s innate culture of innovation, and our confidence in risk-taking as a means of uncovering technologies and business models that have broad positive impact across the globe.
Tomorrow on the show I’ll continue this kind of conversation—risk-taking, innovation and conviction—with renowned director Oliver Stone, Joie de Vivre founder Chip Conley, and The New York Times‘ Thomas Friedman.
Be sure to tune in.
Cheers,
Gavin
